TUCROMA Warderobe - Guido Faleshini - I4 Mariani

Guido Faleschini for i4 Mariani, ‘Tucroma’ Rotating Wardrobe in Leather and Chrome, Italy, ca. 1975
Fully Leather-Clad Cylindrical Swiveling Armoire with Mirror and Chrome Plinth Base

This sculptural rotating wardrobe by renowned Italian designer Guido Faleschini is part of the iconic Tucroma line produced by i4 Mariani in the 1970s. Intended as a companion piece to the Pace Collection bedroom suite, this cylindrical armoire is a true design object, combining functionality with radical design ethos.

Unlike later re-editions, this is an authentic vintage example, executed in full leather inside and out. The piece rotates smoothly on its weighted chrome plinth base, revealing a full-body vertical mirror on one side, integrated shelves, and leather-bound chrome hanging hooks on the interior. Chrome ring handles, mounted on cognac leather loops, punctuate the outer shell and offer a luxurious tactile detail.

The visual language is distinctly Italian seventies—bold, sexy, and infused with postmodern utility. The craftsmanship and materiality are exceptional, with the leather surface exhibiting the rich texture and warm tone characteristic of the Mariani workshop.

The piece remains in perfect original condition, reflecting only minor signs of age while offering full function as a wardrobe or striking sculptural storage column. Highly collectible and rarely seen on the market in this pristine vintage state.
