Togo Medium Settee 2007 - Michel Ducaroy - Ligne Roset
Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset – Togo Medium Settee, 2007
Stunning Leather Sofa with Armrests in Iconic Quilted Form
Designed in 1973 by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, the Togo is one of the most recognizable seating designs of the 20th century. This particular piece is the Medium Settee — also referred to as the 2,5-seater — a format that was introduced to sit between the Small (2-seater) and Large (3-seater) versions, offering the perfect balance of space and proportion.
Executed in supple natural beige/off-white leather, this example dates from 2007 and carries the Ligne Roset label and production tags. The sofa is made up of two corner modules joined together, a configuration that gives the settee its generous armrests and sculptural form. The leather shows a beautiful original patina with only light signs of use, preserving its authentic charm.
The Togo series is celebrated for its ergonomic comfort, with its low-slung seat, pleated quilting, and all-foam construction. This particular color blends effortlessly into natural, Japandi, and modern organic interiors, making it highly versatile. While the corner unit is the most popular item in the Togo family, the Medium Settee has become increasingly sought-after for its perfect scale and rare availability in the market.
A design icon, the Togo continues to embody relaxed sophistication, fitting equally into eclectic, minimal, or contemporary spaces. Its timeless presence secures its place as both a collectible piece and a functional lounge essential.
