The Kashima series by Michel Ducaroy captures the essence of late seventies French lounge design, defined by sculptural volumes, deep quilting and an inviting low profile. This beautiful pair from 1979 remains fully original, retaining the warm organic character that makes Kashima one of Ligne Rosets most collectible models.

The natural sand toned fabric shows a rich woven texture that blends effortlessly with boho wabi sabi and organic interior aesthetics. The upholstery has been professionally cleaned including the full underside. All buttons were replaced, restoring the rhythm and structure of the quilted grid. As expected for original fabric from this period, the chairs present natural discoloration, patina and a few soft marks although none distract from the overall serene and harmonious appearance. The foam structure remains soft and enveloping offering the signature cocoon like comfort Ducaroy is known for.

Both chairs still carry their original Ligne Roset labels on the back. This pair represents a rare and well preserved example of the early Kashima production perfect as a sculptural lounge statement in purified interiors.
