This remarkable, fully original matching Eames Lounge Chair set with Ottoman is a true collector’s piece, acquired from its first owner in 1999. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller, the set showcases the enduring legacy of mid-century American design. With its bold contours and high comfort level, the Eames Lounge Chair is ideal for both sophisticated interiors and curated design spaces.

Crafted in the USA in the 1990s, the chairs feature luxurious black patinated leather paired with ash black plywood shells and elegantly exposed birch edges—a visual detail that beautifully highlights the organic curvature of the frame. The leather displays a rich natural sheen and subtle creasing, attesting to the chair’s authenticity and light use over the decades. The set includes a matching ottoman, completing the iconic silhouette.

The set is in very good and fully original condition. It has been professionally serviced in March 2025 by an official Herman Miller Service Centre. As part of the inspection, two shock mounts were replaced, and a new swivel bushing was installed in one of the chairs. The service invoice (€1,000) is available for reference. One armrest shell shows a slightly glossier finish due to a past repair beneath, and there is a small area of damage to the leather on one armrest—both details are clearly visible in the final photos.

This is the coveted American Herman Miller edition with slimline bases and low-profile feet, making it a refined yet functional centerpiece. Few designs match the prestige and enduring relevance of the Eames Lounge Chair—a modern interpretation of the 19th-century club chair that has shaped design history since its 1956 debut.
