An exceptional pair of vintage DS-88 modular lounge chairs by De Sede, Switzerland, dating from the 1970s. Beautifully preserved in striking burnt orange cognac patchwork leather, with a remarkably rich natural patina developed over decades of use.

What makes this particular pair so distinctive is the extraordinary colour of the leather. Rather than the more traditional brown cognac tones, these examples display a vibrant spectrum of burnt orange, warm amber, reddish cognac and caramel hues. The individual leather panels have aged differently over time, creating beautiful natural variations and a depth of colour that gives the set its unmistakable character.

The original patchwork upholstery is a defining feature of the DS-88 design.
