This scarce re-edition of Mart Stam’s legendary S34 cantilever chair – originally introduced in 1927 and a Bauhaus design icon – was manufactured by Bulthaup in the early 1990s in very limited numbers. Unlike the widely available Thonet versions, the Bulthaup production stands out for its rarity, refined craftsmanship, and collectible character. Upholstered in supple cognac leather with the embossed Bulthaup mark and mounted on a polished chrome tubular steel frame, these armchairs combine sculptural modernism with understated luxury.

Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The cognac leather shows a warm natural patina consistent with age and careful use, while the chrome frames remain clean and well-preserved. Comfortable, sturdy, and ready for everyday use, while retaining their exceptional collectible value.
