A rare collector’s edition of the iconic 780 nesting tables designed by Gianfranco Frattini and produced by Cassina in 1985. Unlike the standard glossy black versions from the period, this Special Limited Edition features a refined satin matte lacquer finish and comes complete with the original Cassina label and blue “Special Limited Edition” marking — a configuration seldom seen on the market.

Architectural Simplicity, Exceptional Modularity

Originally designed in the 1960s — a period of optimism and experimentation in Italian design — the 780 model exemplifies absolute functionality. Four perfectly proportioned round tables stack neatly into a compact sculptural column or unfold into a rhythmic modular arrangement.

Each piece is constructed from lacquered beechwood with a reversible laminated top: black on one side, and lacquered white on the reverse. The contrast is subtle yet impactful, ideal for dynamic styling.
